After creating the initial character art, ( check it out here if you haven't already: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/49EV22) I naturally took it one step further and made a full illustration to complement it. I chose a portrait format, since I've already rendered the clothing in the character art and, for this work, I wanted to focus on the character's personality itself. I really tried to make the character convey a feeling of dominance and to give to feeling of unease. I've always been drawn to the Burgundian fashion of the early 15th century. Their fashion was so popular that it captured the attention of noble men and women all over Europe!
